Title: Do NOT Invest in These 5 LEGO Sets (Part Two)

Hey there, LEGO investors! It’s time for another edition of “Do NOT Invest in These 5 LEGO Sets!” I’m your humorous male staff reporter, here to share some valuable tips on buying and reselling LEGO for a profit. And today, we’re diving into part two of this series, where we uncover five LEGO sets that should definitely stay off your investment radar. So buckle up, folks!

Coming in at number five, we have set 75315, the LEGO Star Wars Imperial Light Cruiser. Now, on paper, this set may seem promising, with its solid minifigure selection and an exclusive moth Gideon minifigure. But here’s the catch – the demand for this set is as low as the cruiser’s popularity in the Star Wars universe. Despite retailing for $160, it’s selling way below its price on the secondary market. So we must bid farewell to the Imperial Light Cruiser’s investment potential, folks.

Moving on to number four, set 75299, Trouble on Tatooine. This LEGO Star Wars set might as well be renamed “Trouble for Investors.” Why, you ask? Well, it’s missing the crucial element of exclusive minifigures that collectors go wild for. And let’s face it, the minifigures we do get in this set aren’t exactly worth writing home about. Plus, it’s more of a playset than a display piece, making it less appealing to adult collectors. So, steer clear of this one, folks.

Now, let’s take a detour to LEGO City – a theme that fails to impress when it comes to investing. No surprises here, folks. LEGO City sets lack the star power of licensed themes like Star Wars or Harry Potter, leading to a significant drop in their resale value. And let’s not forget the underwhelming and forgettable LEGO City minifigures. With kids being the primary target audience, it’s not exactly a recipe for investment success. So, my advice is to avoid the entire LEGO City theme altogether.

At number two, we have series 23 CMF (Collectible Minifigures). Don’t get me wrong, the minifigs in this series aren’t terrible, but selling them as an investment is simply not worth the effort. Priced at $5 each, even if they were to double in value, the shipping costs alone would eat up most of your profit. So, let’s give series 23 CMF a hard pass, shall we?

Finally, taking the top spot on our “Do NOT Invest” list is set 21226, Art Project Create Together. Now, I must confess, I’m not an avid fan of LEGO art in general. But this specific set takes the cake for being a terrible investment choice. Unlike LEGO art from renowned franchises like Star Wars or famous music groups, this set offers a collection of random pictures with little significance. It’s safe to say it won’t appeal to many adult collectors, resulting in lower demand and prices in the secondary market.

Well, there you have it, my fellow LEGO investors! Five sets that you should definitely steer clear of when it comes to investing. Remember, these sets suffer from low demand, lack of exclusivity, and limited appeal to adult collectors. If you want to hear more about LEGO sets to avoid for investing, make sure to smash that like button and stay tuned for a potential part three!

And if you haven’t already checked it out, make sure to catch part one of this series on our website. We break down why these sets are terrible investments, including some retiring LEGO Star Wars sets like The Mandalorian Imperial Light Cruiser (75315) and Trouble on Tatooine (75299).
