Are these LEGO sets a big opportunity?

Do these LEGO sets present a significant opportunity? from Youtuber- Brick Bucks

Good afternoon everybody, it’s time for another Brick Bucks update. Once again, my name is Jim and this is where we talk about LEGO investing and reselling. Today, we’re going to go over two princess sets that might not be the most exciting, but trust me, they could be a big opportunity.

First up, we have the LEGO Disney Rapunzel’s Tower. Now, confession time: I actually owned a couple of the first Rapunzel Tower sets, so I have a bit of a soft spot for this one. This is a remake, but don’t let that scare you away. Remade sets can still be profitable, and this one is currently available. The ROI on this set is looking pretty good, especially with Q4 inventory drying up and third-party sellers taking advantage of the demand. At one point, you could have snagged this set for around $50 and sold it for $108. That’s a 100% return on investment! Not bad for a new set, right?

Next, we have the LEGO Disney Princess Elsa’s Magical Ice Palace. This set is still available, although not discounted. But don’t let that discourage you. The past performance of the original set shows that this could be worth considering. It has had some price action due to supply chain issues, but you could have bought it for under $63 and sold it for as high as $203. Even at retail, that’s a good deal, considering it’ll likely go up in value when it’s retired.

Now, if you’ve been in the reselling game for a while, you’ll probably remember when this set first came out after the Frozen phenomenon peaked. It was a hot item, and if you knew how to get your hands on a bunch of them, you made a pretty penny. History on CamelCamelCamel shows that you could have bought it for as low as… Well, I’ll let you check it out for yourselves.

So, are these LEGO sets a big opportunity? It sure looks like it. Remember, we’re not just looking for winners, we’re looking for the top one percent of winners. We want to be catapulted into fast growth and inventory turnover. So, if you’re not into Disney princesses, that’s okay. I’m a fan of return on investment, and these sets seem to offer just that.

Before I sign off, I wanted to let you all know that I’ll be doing a Q&A at the end of the month. So, if you have any questions about LEGO investing, or even silver (yes, I apparently get a lot of questions about silver), drop them in the comments. I’m looking forward to some good questions!

And that’s it for today’s Brick Bucks update. Keep an eye out for these LEGO sets and remember, it’s all about finding that top one percent of winners. Happy investing, everyone!
