Every LEGO Winter Village set RANKED!

Welcome to Brick Bucks, the goofiest, wackiest, and most entertaining Lego investing website out there! Today, we’re diving into the magical world of winter village sets and ranking them all for your investing pleasure. Because who needs boring stocks when you can make money by playing with Legos, am I right?

Winter village sets have become a favorite among Lego investors, and for good reason. They’re like little treasure chests waiting to be discovered and sold for a profit. So, put on your investing cap and let’s jump straight into this snowy adventure!

Starting off at the bottom of our list is the Winter Village Market set (number 10235). This set, released in 2013, had a one-year shelf life, which is a bit shorter than we’d like. It retails for $100, but on eBay, it’s currently selling for around $220. Not too shabby, right? Well, not quite. After six years of retirement, the average annual return on investment for this set is just 15%. That’s a bit chilly for our liking, but hey, it’s still better than the stock market!

Next up, we have the Winter Village Toy Shop set (number 10199). This bad boy is a classic, being the first ever winter village set released back in 2009. With 815 pieces and seven minifigures, it’s a true icon in the Lego investing world. This set had a retail price of $60, but nowadays, it’s selling for around $250 on eBay. Talk about a jolly return on investment! After fees, you’ll be looking at a profit of around $153, which gives you a return on investment of 254%. Not too shabby for a set that’s been retired for nine years!

Coming in at number eight, we have the Winter Village Fire Station set (number 10263). Now, I don’t know about you, but a fire station in a winter village seems a little out of place to me. I mean, who’s starting fires during the holiday season? Nevertheless, this set, released in 2018 and retired just last year, has some potential. With a retail price of $100 and recent eBay sales around $160, you can expect a profit of $36 after fees. While that’s only a 36% return on investment, it’s still early days since retirement, so this number will likely climb in the future.

Up next is the Winter Toy Shop set (number 10249), a re-release of the very first winter village set. It has 898 pieces and eight minifigures, making it almost identical to its predecessor. This set, released in 2015, had a retail price of $80. And guess what? It’s currently selling for around $230 on eBay. That’s a profit of around $116 after fees, giving you a return on investment of 144%. Not too shabby for a reimagined classic!

Now, let’s take a moment to appreciate the Winter Village Cottage set (number 10229). This beauty, with its 1,490 pieces and eight minifigures, really captures the cozy and festive spirit of the winter village theme. Released in 2012 and retired the following year, this set only had a short shelf life. But boy, is it a gem! If you managed to snag this set for its retail price, you’re in luck. With recent eBay sales around $290, you’ll be looking at a profit of around $186 after fees. That’s a solid return on investment of 265%!

And that wraps up the first half of our ranking! Stay tuned for part two, where we’ll continue our countdown of the best winter village sets to invest in. So sit back, relax, and start dreaming of all the Lego-filled profits that are coming your way. Happy building, happy investing, and as always, stay wonderfully weird, my Lego-loving friends!
