can potentially yield a better return on investment. In this case, the Technic off-roader set had a higher retail price of $250, but I was able to snag it for $180, which is a 33% discount. Currently, it’s trending at $240 on eBay, so even though it’s not a massive increase, I’m not taking a loss and can still make a small profit.

On the other hand, the Jungle Rescue Base set had a lower retail price of $80, and I got it for around $55, which is a 25% discount. However, its value on the secondary market hasn’t increased as much, currently at $75 to $80. So keep an eye out for deals, clearance sales, and markdowns that can help you score a lower buy-in price and maximize your return on investment.

And remember, LEGO investing is not about hoping to break even or avoid losses. It’s about increasing the value of your collection and making smart decisions that can lead to profits. So happy hunting and may your LEGO investments bring you joy and riches, brick by brick!
