The Winter Village Theme – A Great Investment?! LEGO Investing & Reselling

Why the Winter Village Theme by LEGO is a Fantastic Investment for Reselling and Investing from Youtuber- Brick Bucks

thoughts on the Winter Village theme, specifically the Elf Clubhouse set.

Hey there, Lego investors and resellers! Jim here with another Brick Bucks update. Today, we’re diving into the Winter Village theme and asking the million-dollar question: is it a great investment?

Now, if you’re a longtime fan of the Winter Village sets, you know we’ve seen some classics like the Gingerbread House and the Holiday Train. But this year, we have something new and exciting: the Elf Clubhouse!

According to the rumor mill, this delightful set will have a whopping 1,197 pieces. That means we’re looking at a price point around $99.99 (or maybe even $110 if inflation has its way). But hey, it’s worth every penny for the holiday cheer.

Now, before we delve into the Elf Clubhouse, let me clarify something. In the Winter Village lineup, there are some staple sets that you just have to have. Think Santa’s Workshop and the Holiday Train. But the Elf Clubhouse? Well, it’s more of an ancillary set. You don’t necessarily need it, but man, it’s cool.

I must admit, though, I do wish they included a few more minifigures this time. I mean, it’s an elf clubhouse, right? I imagine it’s a place where they kick back, play ping pong, watch movies, and maybe light up some cigars when they’re not busy making presents for Santa. So a couple more minifigs would have been nice. But hey, no critical feedback here!

Let’s get back to the good stuff. One reason I was excited about the Elf Clubhouse is that it allows us to explore the winter holiday theme as a whole. And let me tell you, this theme is a winner when it comes to investing.

Remember the Holiday Train? It retired recently and was selling for $99.99. But for savvy investors who knew what they were doing, this set could have been purchased for $80 or $85. And guess what? Its current value is a whopping $177! Talk about doubling your money.

That’s the beauty of the Winter Village sets. LEGO only releases one per year, making it a wash, rinse, and repeat cycle for those new to investing. There’s not a lot of noise or confusion to navigate. Just invest, wait, and profit. Simple, right?

Now, let me quickly rank some of the recent Winter Village sets for you. First, we have Santa’s Workshop. Classic, must-have, and it boasts an impressive 265% return on investment. Then comes the Toy Shop, which surprised me with its value, considering it’s the second time they’ve made it. But hey, LEGO fans love the nostalgia.

Next up, we have the Winter Village Station, which, to be honest, is basically a bunch of train tracks and a hangout spot for minifigs. I mean, who needs train tracks, right? But trust me, this theme is pure gold.

Finally, we have the Holiday Train. Ah, the beloved set that everyone wants. At MSRP, it has a solid 78% ROI, but if you snagged it at a discount, you’re looking at a juicy 100% ROI.

So, there you have it, folks. The Winter Village theme is where it’s at when it comes to LEGO investing and reselling. Get ready to make some serious brick bucks. Stay tuned for more updates, and happy building!
