Be Careful About This

Exercise caution with this matter. from Youtuber- Brick Bucks

lightning fast! By buying sets closer to their retirement dates, you can decrease your hold time and increase the turnover of your money. This allows you to reinvest your profits and compound your returns. It’s like the magic of compound interest, but with Lego!

Now, I know there are some Lego investors out there who will argue that you should buy sets regardless of their retirement dates. They say to just buy them whenever you see a good deal and to build up your inventory. But let me tell you, if you were one of those investors who bought these sets back in March 2022, you would have been sitting on them for a year and a half, and they would still be gathering dust on your shelf for another couple of months. That’s a long time for your money to just sit there doing nothing!

And let’s not forget about inflation. If your investment isn’t growing, it’s essentially going down in value. So by buying brand new Lego sets that have just been released, you’re essentially parking your money in a place that’s not going to grow. And as an investor, that’s not the name of the game. We want our money to work for us, to go out and make us more money.

So, my fellow Lego investors, be careful about which sets you buy if you’re looking to make a profit. Don’t fall for the hype and buzz of new releases. Instead, focus on sets that are retiring or have already retired. That’s where the real value lies.

And remember, it’s all about turnover and compounding. Shorten your hold time by buying sets closer to their retirement dates, sell the old sets, take your profits, and reinvest them in new inventory. That’s how you maximize your return on investment in the Lego investing game.

So, happy investing and may your Lego collection grow and grow (and your bank account too)!
