water effect, but it ended up looking more like a kiddie pool. So, I decided to add some waves using these 1×2 transparent blue plates. I just stacked them on top of each other to give the water a bit more movement, and I think it really made a difference. Now, it looks like the ocean is actually crashing against the shores of Turtle Island.
Overall, I’m really happy with how this build turned out. It took a bit of trial and error to get the foundation right and to properly integrate everything, but I think it was worth it. The gradient in the ocean, the palm trees, and the cute little turtle sanctuary all come together to create a fun and tropical atmosphere.
Now, I know what you’re thinking – where’s the investing and reselling aspect in all of this? Well, my fellow Lego enthusiasts, let me tell you. There are a few key pieces in this build that are highly sought after by collectors. The palm trees from the August Lego City set, for example, are already becoming quite rare and can fetch a high price on the resale market. So, if you happen to have an extra set lying around, it might be worth holding onto it for a while and watching its value soar.
And as for those turtles, well, Lego has a history of releasing limited edition animal figures that collectors go crazy for. So, who knows? Maybe these adorable little turtles will become hot commodities in the future.
