How to mount or hang Lego Sets on the wall! Two-Step Process tutorial

Hey there, Lego fans! It’s Jake from Jake’s Bricks, and today I’m going to show you how to mount your Lego sets on the wall. Now, I know not everyone has a ton of shelving in their house, so this is a great alternative for displaying your sets from a bird’s eye view.

To start off, you’ll need a few things. First, you’ll need some craft wire or malleable metal wire. You can find this at craft stores like Michaels or Joann Fabrics, or even at home improvement stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s. I personally use a pair of scissors to cut the wire, but you may need wire cutters depending on the strength of the wire.

The wire I use is actually meant for hanging ornaments on a Christmas tree, so it works perfectly for this purpose. You’ll also need a drill, screws, and if you’re drilling into drywall, a drywall anchor for added stability.

Now let’s get into the two-step process of mounting your Lego sets on the wall. Step one involves flipping the set over and identifying two technic pinholes towards the front of the vehicle. Measure out about three times the length between these pinholes and cut the wire accordingly.

Next, feed the wire through each pinhole, bending the end so it can go between the side of the Lego set and the pinhole. Once you’ve fed both ends through, twist them together and secure them by twisting the wire around 10 to 12 times. Cut off any excess wire and fold the twisted part down, giving it a good pull to ensure it’s secure.

Step two is all about mounting the set to the wall. If you’re using drywall, make sure to use a drywall anchor for added stability. Simply drill a hole where you want to mount the set and hang it up on the screw.

And that’s it! Your Lego set is now securely mounted on the wall. It may take some trial and error to find the right angle and placement, but once it’s up there, it should stay put. Just be careful not to bump into it too hard!

One tip I have is for Lego sets like the London Bus, where the top can be removed. Leaving the top off can make the set look cleaner and add some dimension to your Lego wall display.

So there you have it, a simple two-step process for hanging your Lego sets on the wall. It’s a cost-effective and visually appealing way to showcase your collection.
