Can you believe another month has come and gone? It means that more LEGO sets are making there way out into the open. The new LEGO May 2022 releases and promotions are finally here.

New Lego Sets Releases For MAY 2022
We broke down a little bit about each set that is releasing in May to give you our thoughts. You won’t find any Harry Potter or Lego Marvel sets this month, but 2 Lego Creator Expert and Lego Star Wars sets.

The first bunch of new LEGO sets to be released in May 2022 are some baseplates and a Classic set. Who doesn’t love a good baseplate for your Lego City or other MOCs?
This is a Lego Duplo green baseplate that measures over 15 inches with 24 x 24 studs for the little LEGO builders.

These sets are great for Bricklink owners to build up some inventory when they go on sale.

Hidey-ho! Next up is LEGO 71033 Muppet collectable Series Minifigures. There are 12 minifigures to collect from the Muppet characters.
Of course, Kermit the frog, Miss Piggy, & Animal round out the characters. This should be highly collectable for many fans of the Muppets and minifigures in general.
The details on these minifigures are really unique, so you don’t want to miss this set.

We switch over to the Lego Creator Botanical collection that we are lucky to get in May 2022. The first of the 2 sets we get is the LEGO Creator Succulents 10309 that is releasing on 5/1/2022.
LEGO has designed this collection to make it fun to build separately. There promo video even features a date night where they build this succulents. We all know AFOLs like to build them all by themselves. 😆
Either way this is a great addition for all those Green Thumb Lego lovers.

The other Lego Creator Botanical build that we will also be able to build on May 1st is the Orchid.
Of the two sets in the Botanical collection, this one is the better one. Orchids like this are hard to grow and maintain in real life, but this one will live on barring your cat knocking it down.
The value of this set and price point is perfect for this type of LEGO build.

For all the Horizon Forbidden West gamer fans, you will love this next set. The LEGO Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck (76989) makes it way out on May 1, 2022.
It features 1222 bricks with some unique brick techniques to create this tall display. The book also features the inside story of how the LEGO designers created this set.
While, this might be popular, this set might fly under the radar with many Lego investors, especially if it is just exclusive to LEGO S&H.

May the 4th be with you. LEGO has been dedicating May as Star Wars month to celebrate this date for fans. We get treated wit a new LEGO Star Wars UCS build with Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder 75341.
For you LEGO Star Wars fans, you may have a Landspeeder from previous sets, but this is unlike any of them. The design and custom pieces for this build are very unique.
The C3PO minifigure detail is also exclusive to this set, so anticipate its value to be pretty high for minifigure Star Wars fans. It is set to release on 5/4/22, but you can score it early if you are a Lego VIP member on 5/1/22.
MAY 2022 LEGO Promos & GWP
There are several LEGO promotions going on during May 2022. Of course, the Lego release dates 2022 for May the 4th Be With You Lego Star Wars runs from 5/1/22- 5/8/22.
The LEGO Ideas Cosmic Cardboard Adventures 40533 which won a LEGO Ideas space-themed contest last year is supposed to be a GWP from 5/16-5/31 along with the Children’s Amusement Park.
May 2022 should be an epic month for GWP and promotions.

Investment Thoughts For The MAY 2022 Lego Releases
There are not many sets to really get excited about. The Lego Botanical sets are really a fantastic new theme that LEGO has done well with. the popularity has soared with them, so it will be interesting to see how these later ones will be produced.
You can’t go wrong with the LEGO star Wars UCS set as the C3PO is a really a unique figure that many will seek if they didn’t get the set.
