What’s in the Box? Ep 6: LEGO Sets I’ve been dying to build!

Exciting Unboxing in Episode 6: LEGO Sets I Can’t Wait to Assemble! from Youtuber- Jake’s Bricks

What’s up, Lego fans? It’s Jake from Jake’s Bricks here, and I’m back with another episode of “What’s in the Box!” Today, I’ve got not one, not two, but four different boxes to open up. These are sets that I’ve been dying to build, and if you’ve been following my YouTube videos, you know that I’m a huge fan of Creator Cars, Technic Cars, Racers, and even those Lego Art sets like Darth Vader and Iron Man. I just can’t resist all the amazing cars that keep coming out, so I went a little crazy and bought a bunch of them.

But before we dive in, let me give you a Lego tip or trick about buying, selling, and investing in Lego. Make sure you watch the entire video to catch those valuable tips along the way. Alright, let’s get started!

First box up is from Kohl’s. Now, here’s tip number one: Kohl’s.com offers something called Kohl’s Cash. If you spend $50, you get $10 in Kohl’s Cash, which is like a 20% savings. It’s not an immediate discount, though, as you have to use the Kohl’s Cash within a week or two. I bought this set here using Kohl’s Cash, so let’s see what’s inside.

Uh-oh, the box is a little beat up at the bottom. Kohl’s isn’t known for its great packaging, but that won’t stop me from building this set. It’s the Ferrari 488 GTE AF Corse, set number 42125. It’s got about 2,000 stickers, which is fitting for all the sponsorships on these racing cars. If I were planning to sell this set, I’d probably exchange it due to the box damage, but since I’m building it for myself, I’ll keep it. Can’t wait to see the finished product!

Now, onto box number two. But before I move on, let’s talk more about Kohl’s Cash. For example, this set retails for $169.99. So, with the Kohl’s Cash promotion, I earned $30 in Kohl’s Cash. I also found another set, the Duke Kaboom Stunt Show from Toy Story 4, which is now retired. It was originally $19.99, but I got it for just $12.99 with the discount. Plus, I still have $17 in Kohl’s Cash to spend on more Lego sets. Don’t forget to utilize Kohl’s Cash—it’s an amazing tool for getting free Lego in the future.

Alright, onto box number two! This one contains two sets I’ve been dying to build. First up is the Amelia Earhart Tribute set, 40450, and the McLaren Senna GTR, set number 42123. Another Technic car? Surprise, surprise! These smaller scale Technic cars are great value for money at $50. I haven’t built any of these smaller ones yet, so I’m excited to check out their features. And here’s tip number two: when buying sets on Lego.com, wait for double VIP points or special promotions. Promos like this Amelia Earhart set can have a significant increase in value. This one is currently trending around $25 on the secondary market, so I may sell it to recoup some of my costs.

But wait, there’s more! In this box, we also have the Lego Technic Jeep Wrangler, set number 42122. It’s another one of those smaller scale sets, priced at $50. Although there’s been some criticism about it not being an accurate replica, I’m still excited to build and possibly display it.

Alright, that’s it for today’s episode of “What’s in the Box?” I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek into the sets I’ve been dying to build. Stay tuned for more videos on Jake’s Bricks, where I’ll be showing you the building process of these amazing Lego sets. And remember, keep those Lego tips and tricks in mind when it comes to buying, selling, and investing. Until next time, happy building, Lego fans!
